  11. • What is it?
  12. ◊  Attributor is an advanced programmer's utility designed to make life easier for programmers. Since the old Code Warrior DR3 and Think C 5 didn't provide a way to set the CODE resource attributes directly (things like "purgeable" or "preload") and because most of my applications wanted to unload the initialization segment, I wrote this utility to stop going into ResEdit all the time.
  13. ◊  Attributor can change the resource attributes of a specific resource or of a whole resource family in a single pass. Just create an ATTR resource inside Attributor with ResEdit and modify it to meet your needs (there's a resource template for the 'ATTR' resource inside the Attributor application). If you check the "Change All" option, the the resource ID is ignored and all resources of the specified type are changed.
  14. ◊  Attributor comes with one preset ATTR resource that makes your SIZE -1 resource purgeable.

  23. ◊  This software is ©1994-96 Alessandro Levi Montalcini. It can be freely distributed as long as it is not modified and there’s no charge for it, but it may not be included in any commercial package without my consent.
  24. ◊  All online services and bulletin boards may make it available to their users at no charge other than the normal connection fees.
  25. ◊  All non-profit user groups may distribute it at no charge.
  26. ◊  All magazines may publish it on floppy disk or CD-ROM without asking me first, as long as I get a copy of the issue containing my software.
  27. ◊  All CD-ROM shareware collections and CD-ROM magazines may include it without my prior consent, as long as I get either a copy of the CD-ROM or an offer to buy the CD-ROM at a discounted price.
  28. ◊  All redistribution companies such as Pacific HiTech, AMUG, Celestin or Educorp may distribute it, as long as I get a copy of each media containing my software and a catalog of the company’s offerings (where applicable).
  29. ◊  You may find the latest version of all my shareware and freeware programs by anonymous ftp to ftp.alpcom.it, inside the /software/mac/LMontalcini directory. The ALM Share and ALM Free packages, which contain most of my stuff and can be registered at a very low price, are also available there.
